Lain ("I Want To Be A S…): I can’t link to anything. :(
David (Weightless Heathe…): And which scenario of me being like Kirk, Spock or McCoy doesn’t equate to me being awesome?
Lain (Weightless Heathe…): Now, website, give me a cookie and remember me!
Lain (Weightless Heathe…): Well, one can read your awesomeness into her comments, I suppose. But one could also infer: 1. Yo…
Joe (To Bolden Go): I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that they pick me.

STS-127 Update

Wednesday 17 June 2009 at 10:19 am sts-127 patchPer NASA:
Space shuttle Endeavour's STS-127 launch today was officially scrubbed at 1:55 a.m. EDT when the same type of gaseous hydrogen leak was detected at the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate, or GUCP. This is the same location where a similar leak resulted in a launch scrub on June 13.

Endeavour's next launch attempt for its STS-127 mission is targeted for July 11 at 7:39 p.m. EDT.

STS-127 Update

Tuesday 16 June 2009 at 12:33 pm sts-127 patchPer NASA:
Space shuttle Endeavour is in launch position at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida following rollback of the Launch Pad 39A rotating service structure.

Endeavour is scheduled to lift off at 5:40 a.m. EDT Wednesday, beginning its STS-127 mission. At 1:15 p.m. today, clocks will begin counting back from T-11 hours toward launch.

The mission management team is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. to give the "go/no-go" to begin loading Endeavour's external fuel tank with liquid propellants. With managers' approval, fueling will begin at 8:15 p.m.

Launch weather looks good, with an 80 percent chance of favorable conditions forecast for the final hours of the countdown.

STS-127 Update

Monday 15 June 2009 at 09:48 am sts-127 patchPer Spaceflight Now:
NASA managers Sunday deferred making a formal decision on whether to reschedule the delayed shuttle Endeavour for launch Wednesday or whether to press ahead instead with launch of the agency's $583 million Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission aboard an unmanned Atlas 5 rocket.

But with both missions facing tight launch windows, Mission Management Team Chairman LeRoy Cain said the agency's preference was to launch Endeavour on Wednesday, if possible, to maximize the number of launch opportunities for both programs.

"If shuttle goes first on the 17th, then the most opportunities we can give LRO is two, and that would be on the 19th and 20th," Cain said. "If LRO goes first on the 17th, then the most opportunities we could get for the shuttle is one opportunity, and that would be on the 20th."

Under The Wire(less)

Monday 15 June 2009 at 09:28 am iPhoneAccording to MacNN, AT&T has sent out the word that "Only preorders placed [on] Friday, June 12, 2009 or earlier are expected to arrive in time for the 7:00 a.m. opening on Friday, June 19th, 2009. Customers will receive an email notification when their new iPhone 3G S has arrived and is available for pickup."

After a couple of false starts, I placed my pre-order at my friendly neighborhood AT&T store at like 6 p.m. on Friday. Just barely, but good enough.
